This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the 1986 animated movie, Transformers: The Movie, which featured the voices of Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, Eric Idle, John Moschitta, and the legendary Orson Welles. This was Orson’s last work before his passing in 1986. The movie would stand the test of time when Optimus Prime dies battling Megatron one last time and Hot Rod would become the new leader of the Autobots named Rodimus Prime. He would fulfill the prophecy of lighting the Autobots’ darkest hour against the menace known as Unicron. The Transformers line hasn’t been the same since the movie. Let’s celebrate the incarnation of Transformers that would open doors for the current live-action Transformers movies. Without it, there would be no franchise.
