Adam Yauch, known as MCA and co-founder of the Beastie Boys, has passed away at the age of 47 due to salivary gland cancer. As part of the Beastie Boys with Mike D Michael Diamond and King Adrock Adam Horowitz, they were among the first rappers in Hip-Hop that bring out hits such as Fight For Your Right To Party, Hey Ladies, What Cha Want, Intergalactic, and other string of hits over the years. Yauch was also involved in Tibetan causes. He was diagnosed with cancer back in 2009 and the group was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month, but MCA was unable to attend because of the cancer. He will be missed by his family, friends, fans, and the Hip-Hop community worldwide.
