The episode continues the Young Jedi arc. While last episode saw the younglings obtained their crystals, this episode takes them to the next level where they each had to build their lightsabers. That’s where we are introduced to a Jedi Droid named Huyang, who was created since the beginning of the Jedi Order. He is the architect of the lightsabers and has recorded each lightsaber built by each Jedi, including Yoda, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano among others. If this were to be a series spin-off, I see Huyang playing the role of a historian professor who can give us insights of the aforementioned Jedi when they were young. Huyang can defend himself in a fight, even if he falls short. You don’t need C-3PO and R2-D2 for every Star Wars incarnation.
The younglings try to build their lightsabers throughout the episode under the supervisions of Huyang and Ahsoka until they were ambushed and attacked a ship of pirates, led by Hondo. Without any Jedi training, the younglings could not stand a chance and Ahsoka had to hide them all safely while trying to fight them off on her own until she was captured. Unfortunately for the younglings, they are on their own as their ship is damaged beyond repair and Huyang is incapacitated into pieces. It’s another good episode for the Young Jedi arc as I’m enjoying it more and more than the Clone Wars itself.
