2013 Year In Review

2013 was the year that saw several beginnings and endings. I thought it would be a good idea to look back on a volatile year.

-The government shutdown that didn’t have to happen and wasn’t supposed to happen because of the Tea Party wanted to get rid of Obamacare.

-Celebration of Superman’s 75th Anniversary.

-Man of Steel, Star Trek Into Darkness, Iron Man 3, Despicable Me 2, 12 Years A Slave, American Hustle, Gravity, Captain Phillips, The Smurfs 2, Hobbit sequel, Lone Ranger, We’re The Millers, and Saving Mr. Banks.

-The cancellations of Burn Notice, The Glades, Magic City, Transformers Prime, Young Justice Invasion, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Futurama, and Nikita.

-TNA Wrestling going out on the road and returning to Orlando, Florida. The departures of Hulk Hogan, Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, Matt Morgan, AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Mickie James, Brother D-Von, Doc, Tara, SoCal Val, Brooke Hogan, Kid Kash, and Chavo Guerrero Jr. The arrivals of Ethan Carter III, Rockstar Spud, Blossom Twins, Party Marty Scurll, Jay Bradley, Lei’D Tapa, and TJ Perkins. The return of Madison Rayne.

-The casting of Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot as Batman and Wonder Woman for the Man of Steel sequel.

-DC Comics moving its operations from its longtime home in New York to Burbank, California.

-KISS, Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens,and Linda Ronstadt as 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class.

-Original KISS members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss reunited for Eddie Trunk’s 30th Anniversary concert.

-Celebration of the X-Men’s 50th Anniversary.

-Farewells to Nelson Mandela, James Gandolfini, Lou Reed, Roger Ebert, Paul Walker, Peter O’ Toole, Ray Harryhausen, Kris Kross’ Chris Kelly, Lee Thompson Young, Esther Williams, Phil Ramone, Ray Dolby, Eileen Brennan, Tom Clancy,
