2014 – The Year In Review

We look back on this year of 2014 with highlights that stood out:

-The 50th Anniversary of the Beatles’ arrival in America and the reunion of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

-KISS getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and being on the cover of Rolling Stone for the first time.

-Ace Frehley releasing his new album, Space Invader, which debuted in the Top 10.

-The 1966 Batman TV series finally being released on DVD.

-Sting finally coming to the WWE and making his debut appearance at Survivor Series.

-Guardians of the Galaxy being the highest-grossing movie of the year with Transformers 4 being second or third.

-The Runaways reunion of Cherie Currie, Joan Jett, and Lita Ford.

-The TV series debuts of Gotham, The Flash, Constantine, Daredevil, and Star Wars Rebels. The TV series finales of Transformers Prime and Legend of Korra.

-CM Punk leaving WWE and the pro wrestling business and AJ Styles leaving TNA.

-America no longer the #1 economic power as it’s now China.

-The Republicans winning both the Senate and House of Representatives.

-The police-involved violence and riots in both New York and Missouri.

-Farewells to Shirley Temple, Mabel, Harold Ramis, Samantha Dolenz, Ultimate Warrior, Bunny Yeager, Casey Kasem, James Garner, Robin Williams, Jimi Jamison, Joan Rivers,  Lauren Bacall, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Christine Canavaugh, Joe Cocker, Ken Weatherwax, Sabah, Mike Nichols, Glen Larson, Henry Jackson, Jack Bruce, Paul Revere, Arlene Martel, Johnny Winter, Tommy Ramone, Eileen Ford, Bobby Womack, Maya Angelou, Mickey Rooney, Kate O’ Mara, Dave Brockie, John Henson, Maximillian Schell, Sir Run Run Shaw, and Phil Everly.
