Cynthia Lennon, first wife of John Lennon and mother of Julian Lennon, has passed away at the age of 75 after a short battle with cancer. She was born Cynthia Powell and met John in an art school in 1957 before getting married. Cynthia was there when the Beatles formed and made it. It was in 1963 that she and John would give birth to Julian, who would become an artist in his own right. They divorced in 1968 when John formed a relationship with his second wife, Yoko Ono. Cynthia has since remarried several times and has lived in Spain. She and Julian had a strong mother-son relationship until her passing. Cynthia Lennon will be missed by family, friends, and Beatles fans worldwide.
