Former AWA World Champion Nick Bockwinkel has passed away at the age of 80. He was AWA World Champion four times and is considered as among the great World Champions in the AWA, second only to Verne Gagne. Teamed up with Ray Stevens and was managed by Bobby Heenan. Bockwinkel had great bouts with Hulk Hogan and Curt Hennig and wrestled Ric Flair in a title vs. title in Japan. He wrestled against Dory Funk Jr. in a time limit draw in WCW Slamboree 93 and became commissioner in WCW. Bockwinkel was the President of the Cauliflower Club for many years and did a final appearance. Nick Bockwinkel will be missed by the pro wrestling community and the fans worldwide. A true great hall of famer.
