TNA Is Not Ready To Compete With The WWE Yet!!

This week TNA has their Monday Night special called "This is TNA" which comprised of matches from last year’s pay-per-views, Slammiversary and Bound For Glory. They mixed in actual live footage with feature film-like footage. However, the special drew in 1.2 that’s a little more than
what Impact usually draws on Thursdays. Then on Thursday, TNA Impact was competing against
WWE’s Raw where Impact drew 0.6 and Raw drew a 3.0. Impact’s rating was down 50% from last
week’s as the viewers were jump-shipping from Impact to Raw, not to mention that Impact was
only an hour. Who knows how much Impact would drew if it was 2-hours and airing the same time
as Raw?  As for the WWE, Raw lost some of the viewers to Impact. But either way, TNA is not
ready to compete with the WWE at this point because they don’t have the recognition that the
WWE has and they don’t have the resources that WWE possesses. Instead of competing against
the WWE, TNA should concentrate on building their company up and establishing their own identity
with the latter they have done successfully. Another thing’s for sure – Impact hasn’t gained new
fans at all. I don’t think we need another Monday or Thursday Night Wars like there was in the
90’s. There is something for every wrestling fan, including myself.
