The title refers to Jefferson Pierce being replaced in Freeland High School’s new principal named Lowry, whose policy is the opposite of Jefferson’s and one of his worst nightmares as he decides to install metal detectors. To further illustrate how different he is from Jefferson, he is no concerned about the needs and wants of the students.
So they arrested Tobias Whale for the murder of Jefferson’s father. While this may good news for Jefferson and may be a good moment, I have to wonder why this didn’t happen in the season finale. To me this feels like something of an afterthought. Only one who is providing emotional support for Jefferson is his friend Bill Henderson as this may be the only thing bringing them together.
Jefferson’s family life is being torn apart with Jennifer’s burgeoning power issues and therapy and Anissa doing robin hood things such as stealing stuff. I hope Jennifer will become Lightning this season after Anissa became Thunder last season. I also hope the Outsiders team will be formed this month after seeing Grace. The season lives up to the theme of consequences from the first season.
