My former high school fitness teacher Marian Frederick-Esters passed away last week at the age of 66 for unknown causes. She taught physical fitness at my old high school, Design and Architecture Senior High, during the early-90’s. One of the requirements to pass a grade, let alone getting a high school diploma was to pass CPR which fortunately I did. Marian was dynamic, outgoing, no-nonsense, and no-BS as that was something that stuck out from her. She will be missed by the DASH alumni who had her in the 90’s.
