psThe first part saw the guest appearance of Atom Ray Palmer. The second part delve more about Despero, the future he’s from, and the destiny that involved Barry Allen that would end the world. Barry refuses to believe it and his team are investigating more about the future Despero is from as they figure out what doesn’t add up.
The crossovers were scaled back as only Alex Danvers and Black Lightning appeared with Alex through the zoom conference as she provides alien info about Despero. We assume that this is after the Supergirl finale as the DEO is now up and running. Also we learn that both Supergirl and Martian Manhunter are off-world. Unfortunate that Superman and Lois didn’t acknowledge Supergirl while Flash. I have a feeling Flash will touch on Supergirl and Black Lightning more than Superman & Lois.
As Flash faces a villainness who is mind controlling her victims and steals treasures, he’s caught in some mind warp where Joe West dies and Caitlin and the team are forced to restrain him with their gadgets Interesting to see Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost being two separate independent identical beings in the same team.
I had hoped Black Lightning would appear throughout the second part or at least save Flash from the telepathic villain, but he only appeared in the end. With the team losing Star Labs to the government, they are using the Hal of Justice for the first time since the Crisis and they should have used more in the last season. They left it at the cliffhanger to prepare for the third part. Good episode overall.
