Living For The Future

The Flash – Armageddon Part Five review

We arrive at the conclusion of the Flash’s 5-episode crossover Armageddon where Barry is glad to have things back to normal with his stepdad Joe West alive. Well, almost really. Because Damien Dahrk somehow appears in the present when he’s supposed to be dead. However he’s not the only one as we have Green Arrow Mia Smoak arriving from the future for a different reason – to search and protect her half-brother William as they touched on the backdoor pilot Green Arrow and the Canaries.

As Flash and Mia capture Reverse-Flash, they learn that in order to set the timeline back to normal Thawne has to die. Both Barry and Caitlin realize this, but Joe for some reason opposed the idea as they may have to save him – something Barry is quite against. In the midst of this thing with Thawne, Despero appears and Barry already figured out that it was Despero who caused the Armageddon in the future so he can frame Barry and be the hero.

In the third act they resolved the climaxes involving Reverse-Flash and Despero as well as tie up loose ends with both Damien Dahrk and Mia Smoak. The latter ends up staying to find William with Iris’ help. I want to see the team-up of Bart, Nora and Mia to represent the legacies of Flash and Green Arrow. Good conclusion to the 5-episode crossover to the Flash as they set up for next year. Flash will return from hiatus in March of 2022. Until then we have Superman & Lois and Naomi to look forward to next month.
