The season premiere ended with the death of the Gambler with Cindy Burman standing there as if they want us to think she did it, which would be too obvious. After all the third season is about the murder mystery whodunit that the suspects range from Stargirl’s JSA to the Crocks and Cindy Burman. This causes trust issues on both sides as to you don’t know who to trust anymore.
Meanwhile Star-Spangled Kid Sylvester Pemberton’s presence has become a firecracker for Courtney and her family. While Courtney longs for the father she wanted in Sylvester, though her real father was no good in the 1st season, Sylvester ends up taking her from school without Pat and Barbara’s permission that causes concern and headache for them. It’s going to create a rift in the family with Courtney in the middle and the Shade is adding to it.
An unlikely friendship between Barbara and Tigress has formed when Tigress isn’t good at fitting in. Then again neither is her husband. We see the two women baking together. One provides something the other lacks – family belonging. How long will it last is the question.
