Kung-Fu – Shifu review

I didn’t Kung-Fu would air its 3rd season this year as I thought it’d be one of the shows that would return next year. The season premiere deals with the return of Nicky’s shifu Pei Ling…or does she? After witnessing her Shifu’s murder at the hands of Zhilan, she wants nothing more than to want her back. Unfortunately Pei Ling’s return throws Nicky off her game and that there may be unintended consequences for it that she’s not prepared to face. How much of it is her and how much of it is Shao will be explored throughout the season.

Meanwhile the other storyline sees Henry traveling abroad in search of answers about his father and becomes more mature and evolved than before. He and Nicky will eventually collide, but their relationship could be at a different place than before and one must wonder if there’s hope between them. Everyone else including Nicky has moved on, but him coming back will be a challenge and finding his place in the community.

Great start to the season as they did a great job setting up. It will be interesting as to how they come out of this on the other side.
