Actor David Soul passed away at the age of 80. He appeared in many television shows, including Star Trek, Gunsmoke, Flipper, Here Come The Brides, I Dream of Jeannie, and All In The Family. But it was the TV show Starsky and Hutch that made him famous when he played Hutch opposite Paul Michael Glaser’s Starsky. He directed three episodes of the show and it ran from 1975 to 1979.
He was also a singer where he scored a Number 1 hit called Don’t Give Up On His and was touring around the world at the time. In 1995, he moved to Britain where he forged a career in the West End theater stage and became a UK citizen.
Soul directed several documentaries and appeared in the Starsky and Hutch movie with Glaser as nods to the roles that made them famous. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His contributions to show business are cemented and will be missed greatly.
