The world’s first super-team, the Justice Society of America, are making their live-action debut in Smallville. They will be represented by three members – Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Star Girl, who are played by Michael Shanks, Brett Stait, and Britt Irvin respectively. According to the episode’s writer and comic favorite, Geoff Johns, the JSA will take on the Justice League and that there will be a rivalry between Green Arrow and Hawkman. We will also see Hawkman with wings and mace as well. Fans of both the show and comics are going to be geeked out and the episode will be the highlight of the 9th season. With a big episode like this, there’s no way that it would be Clark-lite. Let’s hope that Geoff Johns strikes gold with this one than he did with Legion because Legion had the Lana and Chloe worshipping that was nauseating.
