Transformers Prime – Predatory review

After last week’s episode, Speed Metal, that started the focus on Arcee and Jack. This episode continues it as both Arcee and Jack investigate a crashed ship in the forest jungles. Upon going inside, Arcee immediately knows who it belongs to and it’s her Decepticon nemesis, Arachnid. This makes Arcee feel that Jack is  a liability at the same time protecting him from her. Her flashbacks reveal that her Autobot partner, Tailgate, was killed by Arachnid as she tries to interrogate him for information concerning the Autobots. Arachnid has proven to be one of the Decepticon threats like Megatron. I wonder why they didn’t use the Black Arachnia name. Through Jack, we see Arcee facing her demons as she’s afraid than she’s letting on. The fight between Arcee and Arachnid is top-notch. This is Arcee’s definitive moment as a character as well as her relationship with Jack. We’ve now seen what Arachnid is capable of as the door is open to a future return. One of the darker episodes of Transformers Prime.
