Living For The Future

Arrow – Tremors review

The episode focused on Oliver training Roy due to having the Mirakulu in him and the parallels of their relationship with Oliver’s with Slade, who also has Mirakulu;. Both Slade and Roy are going through similar things as they made different choices. Oliver is determined to succeed with Roy that he couldn’t with Slade and he finally did so when he revealed his identity and made him part of his team. The producers were talking about two groups as Oliver is building his own team while Slade is likely building his through Brother Blood. There’s also the League of Assassins out there. We have the return of Bronze Tiger who was used better this time around than the last time and thanks to DCU nods he will be joining the Suicide Squad, led by the returning Amanda Waller.

The other storyline is Dinah Laurel’s downward spiral since she’s no longer an attorney and is job-hunting, but her drug addictions are getting in the way and her father is trying to help her with therapy that he went through earlier this season. She reaches her lowest point until her sister, Sarah returns. The sisters have finally reunited and this will lead to the next episode concerning the entire Lance family.

One other storyline that’s not been given enough emphasis is Moira Queen running for Mayor of Starling City against Sebastian Blood and we may see reconciliation between Moira and Walter Steele. Moira goes to Thea about running for Mayor of all people as she could’ve went to others. At least Moira has something useful to do in the season’s major storyline with Brother Blood.

A lot has moved forward in this episode and lots of DCU easter eggs. Great episode overall and the ratings went up significantly.
