Living For The Future

The Flash – Armageddon Part 3 review

Part two ended with the appearance of Black Lightning and they picked up from there that Barry needs his help in using his lightning to level up and find out what really happened in the future. Unfortunately, the bulk of the episode is really about Iris and Cecilia as there are conflicts between them over the mystery surrounding Joe’s death. Both of them would do their own separate investigations.

Iris and one of the team members go to the train station, where Joe died and Iris picks up some metahuman residue. After the train security official provided inventory, Iris stopped there for awhile until she picks up the same metahuman residue again. She decides to return to the train station, but with a man from the Speed Force. As soon she the Speed Force person said negative speed force  and that Joe wasn’t supposed to die, I knew immediately who it was and it was too obvious to anyone who saw it coming.

Meanwhile Cecile tracked down a rogue metahuman at a bar and needed her help in tracking down Barry, whom they found out was at the Hall of Justice with Black Lightning. Before they do anything, Despero ended up killing one of two women and proceeded to head over to the Hall to hunt down both Barry and Jefferson.

Both Barry and Jefferson have their own conflicts as Barry wants to pursue and want to do away with his powers before he becomes dangerous while Jefferson was being cautious. Unfortunately this conflict led to their fighting.. Now I can see why actor Grant Gustin chose his scenes with Black Lightning as his favorite over anything else. They took the crossover to the future where we see the return of Thawne/ Wells who has his allies with him just to get back at Barry for being faster than him. Depending on how the fourth part goes, either that or this part represents the lowest point for Barry. An okay episode overall.
