Living For The Future

The Flash – Armageddon Part Four review

I can’t wait for this crossover to be over because it’s really underwhelming so far. I’m glad Superman & Lois are not part of this because they wouldn’t do him right after Crisis On Infinite Earths. Here we have a future that’s dubbed Reverse Flashpoint that started with the revealed abduction of Joe West that lead to an alternate 2031, where Wells/ Thawne is wearing Barry’s Flash costume while Barry wears the Reverse-Flash costume, which is their way of making up for not adapting that aspect when they did Flashpoint.

Members of Wells’ Flash team include Killer Frost, Batwoman Ryan Wilder, Atom Ryan Choi, and Sentinel Alex Danvers who took down Barry before he eluded them all to find out what’s going on. The aforementioned guests, except for Frost, are never in this episode because this is alternate versions of them, especially with Ryan Choi becoming the Atom under the wrong circumstances.

So Barry seeks the help of the one unlikeliest person – Damien Dahrk, who turns out to be alive while his daughter Nora is dead in this alternate future. Together they take down Wells’ team while Barry runs back to the past with Wells catching up to him. Not only is Barry fasters than Thawne/ Wells, he’s using time travel against him. Then everything goes back to normal in the present along with a phone call from Joe.

The ending of the episode sets up for the final battle between Barry and Thawne/ Wells. Disappointing since I was hoping for the actual crossover and not using alternate versions. An okay episode at best as they likely save the best for last.
