Superman & Lois – Girl, You Will Be A Woman Soon review

After a two-week hiatus, we return with an episode that mainly focuses on Sarah Cushing’s Quinceanera and more of the Lang/ Cushing family. We find out the truth about the Cushing family and how Erik Cushing’s affair have now come at the fore, along with Lana just finding out. There is going to be trust issues in the Cushing family from this point forward, but luckily for Sarah she has Jordan Kent to lean on. I don’t see Kyle appearing in the next episode.

Speaking of Jordan, he begins his training with his grandfather General Sam Lane and Jonathan isn’t too happy about it as he secretly uses the X-Kryptonite to show him up. We also find out whom General Lane favors between them as this does cause Jon to get jealous. Later on, Jordan finds out half of the truth about Jon having powers as he still doesn’t know how at this point. I’m betting on next episode to address it.

Clark and Lois’ separate investigations have intertwined with Clark talking with Tag, who escaped with the pendant last episode and now Lt. Mitch Anderson has it. Of course the distrust between Superman and Lt. Anderson still lingers on after last episode where he send the Supermen of America to their deaths at Bizarro’s hands. Meanwhile, Lois learns that Chrissy was trying to uncover things about her as the tensions in their partnership have escalated. Whatever fandom Chrissy has about Lois has just gone out the window. Bizarro’s actions have united Siuperman and Lois that leads into the super-fight rematch.  Unfortunately the only casualty is Dr. Faulkner who has been shown a gruesome end.

With John Henry and Natalie Irons being absent from this episode, which is for the best, it’s important that Superman must be shown to defeat Bizarro on his own. The Heat Breath and Freeze Vision is shown for the first time in live-action as if it jumped out of the comics. Thanks to the Fortress and Lana, we get to learn more about Bizarro and his reasons for being on Earth Prime. Looks like we will get some kind of Multiverse story-arc here for the rest of the season and who the real villain of the season really is.
