Batwoman – How Does Your Garden Grow? review

This episode deals with the vines and leaves of Poison Ivy that’s taking its victims, which was the opening hook of the episode. What we don’t know if this Poison Ivy is the real deal or fake, but based on this season so far we’ve seen people impersonating Batman’s rogues gallery. This could easily have been the next generation of rogues.

This episode deals with Mary thinking she’s the new host of the substance and comes out as a murderer, which gotten different reactions especially with Alice laughing. Ryan and Luke are trying to figure out how Mary does it before she harms more people. We later found out how as she gets into an evil trance, which Alice likes. It turns out that Mary is the new host of poison ivy as she attacks both Ryan and Luke. Neither Ryan or Luke noticed how Mary got infected.

The relationship between Ryan, Sophie, and Renee is getting rocky as Ryan refuses to tell Sophie about Jada while Renee wants to talk to Ryan about the latest victim with Ryan pushing her away. It’s clear that both Renee and Sophie are at odds with Ryan while they’re spending the night together.

Alice is fitting in the team very well in revealing secrets about the other people, which Ryan and Luke used to their advantage. I can see Alice working for the TV version of the Suicide Squad under Amanda Waller in place of Harley Quinn, whom I think is off-limits for film. Good episode overall.
